5th Year Anniversary Show Concert Going Guide

It’s our 5th Year Anniversary Show with Neon Trees, Fictionist and The Blue Aces!

WhenThis time, our show begins promptly at 7pm. That’s a small change from previous concerts, so make a note of that. “Doors” open at 5:00, as always we suggest you get there early.

Where - We’re moving the show to the street in anticipation of a larger than normal crowd. Our location for the show will be right in front of the Nu Skin building, in the intersection of Center Street, and 100 West. Provo, of course.

This will be a standing only, show. No chairs and blankets this time, please.

Recommended age -  Recommended age range for this show is 10+. Younger kids can come, but it’s going to be a very packed crowd.

Weather considerations -  The weather widget says no rain, but it could cool off once the sun goes down. Bring a jacket or a loved one to snuggle with. Actually, I recommend both.

Parking map and getting there - There are lots of places to park in downtown Provo and close to the venue. Check out this map here. We also have free valet bicycle parking available, courtesy of the Provo Bicycle Collective and Canyon Bicycle. Ride your bike to the concert and take advantage of the most convenient parking available! Donations accepted to support the Collective. You’ll also want to keep in mind that there is a BYU football game that night so if you want to arrive two hours late, go down University Avenue. If you want to arrive on time, take a completely different route.

If you are coming from Salt Lake, we recommend FrontRunner.

What’s the social media info? Every mention, like or comment helps us spread the word about our concert series, so think of your instagram shot of you and your friends at the show as a service to us, and just be sure to use the tag #rooftopconcerts. We also live tweet, Instagram and Facebook during the concert.

Arrive Hungry -  There are over 50 restaurants in the downtown area! And so many of them are delicious and award-winning. See here for well-designed comprehensive list.

BUT you can also eat at the venue! Just west of the stage area, on Center Street and 200 West,  you can order warm food to eat before, during, and after the show starting at 5pm.

What else is going on in downtown Provo on Friday -  Downtown Provo Inc. has organized a coinciding Shop & Meet event, creating an introduction point for the community to meet local restaurants and store fronts. During the event, the public is invited to enjoy food from local restaurants and food trucks, park their bikes at a Free  Bicycle Valet (hosted by Canyon Bicycle and the Provo Bicycle Committee), and get to know more about the culture of Downtown Provo.

And if you can't come to the show in person -  You can watch the Rooftop Concert Series at www.rooftopconcertseries.com/rooftop-concert-blog/

Special Thanks to Google Fiber, Nu Skin, Provo City, X96, Downtown Provo Inc, Coca Cola, Utah Valley University, Utah Valley Association of Realtors, Wicked Audio, Swop, Contour, and Dillard's for helping to make it happen!
