The Man Who Sold The World. Ziggy Stardust. Aladdin Sane. The Thin White Duke. Few artists manage to leave even one impression on the world, but when David Bowie died earlier this year, he left us with a handful (and that’s not even mentioning his film roles as Warhol, Tesla, and The Goblin King). But even with all the different names, the one that fits the most is this: legend. And, more importantly, he left us with legendary, influential songs. So, to celebrate Bowie’s legendary body of work, wandering spirit, and boundless imagination, we’re excited to present our June 3 Rooftop concert—Let’s Dance: The Songs of David Bowie. Yeah, we can’t wait either. Countdown, engines on.
Brought to you by many of the same all-star musicians who’ve produced the last five years of Rooftop tribute shows, the night will feature an onstage parade of homegrown Rooftop favorites—Ryan Innes, Debra Fotheringham, and members of Westward The Tide, Neon Trees, Mideau, Fictionist, Luna Lune, The New Electric Sound, The Aces, The Lower Lights, House of Lewis, The Strike, and many more. Opening the show are The LoveStrange and their lo-if brand of electric art rock. Look out, you rock n’ rollers!
