About

We are interested in finding ways to bring people together in downtown Provo. That’s the purpose of the Rooftop Concert Series. We love Provo, we love fun, we love music. Put those all together and you end up with free concerts on a roof.

If you’d like to be a part of this effort, we welcome your interest and involvement. Contact us at: info <at> rooftopconcertseries <dot> com

The Rooftop Concert Series was started by: Sarah Wiley, Courtney Kendrick, Mindy Gledhill and Justin Hackworth.

This looks amazing!!!! I’m sad I didn’t discover this until now. What time do these concerts start?

It is amazing, and great fun, too. We still have four shows left this year, so don’t cry too hard. Shows start at 8pm.

Are young children welcome?

Reply

Justin July 1, 2011 at 3:59 pm

You bet, Heather. Lots of kids come to the concerts. Some of the concerts are better suited for kids than others and to be conscientious to the other concertgoers, remember the old rule that crying kids are like pretty girls and should be taken: out. Check out the lineup and listen to the artists we’ve scheduled to see if it’s something your kids would like.

We’re a local band. Are there any slots available to play?

Justin July 3, 2011 at 12:12 am

Thanks for asking, Frank. We have our 2011 lineup complete. Our criteria has been well established bands with a few original albums under their belt and a strong regional fan base. Please come to any of our three remaining concerts this year and see if your band is a good fit.

On the 2011 lineup post from April it lists Neon Trees on Sept 2. But in the mini lineup on the homepage, Sept 2 has Imagine Dragons listed. Which is it?

Imagine Dragons

How long to the concerts usually run? Any consistent running timeframe? I’m just curious.

Also, do you guys need any help technically with sound setup/operation? Do you have someone (June Audio?) who records the concerts? I’m a recording engineer who just moved to Alpine from the East Coast and am looking for places to get involved for networking! I look forward to the August show!!

Hi Truman, the concerts have been going until 10pm or 10:30pm and we’re always looking for volunteers. I’ll email you some info. Thanks for asking.

We are interested in performing for you next year. There didn’t appear to be a contact vehicle. Could you email me back with some contact information? Thank you

What happens if it rains?

Reply

Justin October 5, 2011 at 7:50 pm

We’re forging ahead. Be sure and bring a coat and someone to snuggle up to. If it’s too rainy, we’ll move one floor down where it’s covered.

Yes. The show will go on. If it’s too rainy, we’ll move one floor down where it’s covered. See you there!
